CPD: Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they have a commitment to continuous personal development.
Qualification: Applicants would normally hold a minimum 5 years’ relevant experience and a recognised qualification. If no qualification, applicants must have minimum of 7 years’ experience.
Reference: Applicants should provide contact details of current or previous Manager/Client who is able to confirm experience, evidence of commitment to CPD and maintaining high quality professional standards. Applicants can also have this confirmed by a current Fellow of the LPI.
In order to become a full Member of the LPI, applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have relevant combination of experience to join at Member level:
Applicants awarded full Member status will be afforded the post-nominals MLPI.

Open to anyone in the learning and development profession who wishes to belong to a professional body in the learning/ performance field. In order to become an Associate of the LPI applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have relevant experience in Learning & Development/Training.
Applicants awarded Associate status will be afforded the post-nominals ALPI.
Qualification: Relevant experience in Learning & Development/Training
